an antique fabric weaver can give the compactness
and texture that you can find in the knits bearing
the label " Aigue - Marine " designed
and produced by Michèle Parpaillon, an
elegant and cultured french woman who,having
finished her studies and debuted with success
in the world of marketing created 18 years ago
a splendid artisan workshop in one of the towers
of the beautyful XV° century Villa di Castagnolo,
once home of the florentine Albizi and now divided
into elegant flats by Marchesi Pianeti Lotteringhi
della Stufa, where models and embroideries are
elaborated.
The excellent quality of materials and the
artisanal care, almost maniacal of labour
and details, are the characteristics of those knits which
follow classic lines:
cardigans, pullovers, t-shirts, capes, blankets,
throws, golf club head covers enriched with leather and silk
embroideries.
The
themes are the one of golf, polo, tennis, hippic,
yachting, flowers and sometimes historical motifs.
Precious are the yarns: cashmere/silk/merinos,
extra fine merinos, Egyptian cotton,
Sea island cotton.
